Welcome to Juicy Chords! My name is Gleb, I’m a Musicproducer and Soundengineer. When I began producing music in a DAW, my chords sounded flat… and amateur.
Coming from guitar, drawing MIDI notes with a mouse felt super unmusical — and honestly? Totally uninspiring. So I started looking for a better way. And like many beginners… I fell into the MIDI Pack trap. I bought thousands of chord progressions… but I never really used them. They didn’t fit. They didn’t help.
My own chords sounded clunky and disconnected… because I had no idea about voicings or voice leading. So songwriting in a DAW was basically a happy accident. Maybe one out of fifty times, I’d actually come up with something.
That all changed when I discovered chord trigger tools. With them, you can play full chords with just one finger. You control the rhythm, the velocity, and — best of all — you use your own sounds. But even then, there was still one big problem:
This are the different ways to build a chord, and specifically how you arrange notes within your chords. Most tools only gave me basic triads. Generic. Boring. Things got better when Scaler came out.
It had solid progressions and better voice leading. But I was still missing something: That modern, emotional sound you hear in today’s pop and electronic music.
Through experience and working togehter with pro pianists, over the years a realization slowly came to my mind: If you want your synths to sound huge and your chords to feel alive, you need the right voicings — the kind pianists spend years learning.
So I reached out to one of the best: Roberto Di Gioia — one of Germany’s top pianists and producers. Together, we created over 80 custom chord sets — and refined them down to 25 really juicy ones. With these, I can come up with 10 new songideas in 10 minutes.

No, together with Scaler 2 + 3 or Ripchord you can implement the Chordsets in almost every DAW with Midi-Environment.
As we use Logic Pro for our Musicproduction, we will show everything there. But almost all the steps can also be applied in other DAWs.
Definitely not. You can use Juicy Chords together with Ripchord, a free to download and use Plugin, you find here. And you can also use the internal Chordtrigger from Logic Pro to implement and play with our Chordsets.

Juicy Chordsets are pre-arranged Chords, that harmonize together. You can use one of the following Chordtrigger-Plugins to play with Juicy Chords: Scaler 2 + 3, Logic Pro Chordtrigger and Ripchord. You can play the Chords with just one press of a key. You can put any instrument into your Channel-Chain. So you can use the Chords on a piano as well as on synths or any other instrument. In most DAWs you don´t even need a midi-keyboard or drumpad. You can be creative anywhere, just with the keyboard of your Laptop. All Packages, the free Chordsets as well as the Chordpacks come with a detailed and easy to follow manual on how to load chordsets into your favorite chordtrigger.
