a) Hosting with United-Domains
Our website is hosted by United-Domains AG, Gautinger Straße 10, 82319 Starnberg, Germany. Each time you access our website, our hoster’s system automatically collects data in so-called server log files. These include:

  • Date and time of access
  • Name and URL of the retrieved file
  • Website from which access was made (referrer URL)
  • Browser used and, if applicable, your computer’s operating system

The processing of this data is based on our legitimate interest (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR) in providing a secure, stable, and high-performance website. We have concluded a data processing agreement (DPA) with United-Domains.

We sell our digital products through the reseller platform Digistore24. When you click a “Buy” button or a corresponding link, you leave our website and are redirected to the sales and payment page of one of the following, depending on your location:

e) Website Analytics with Matomo (Self-Hosted)
To improve and optimize our website, we use the open-source web analytics tool Matomo. This service is operated on our own servers, which means we have full data ownership and control, and no data is shared with third parties.

The processing of data is based on our legitimate interest (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR) in analyzing user behavior to optimize both our web presence and our marketing efforts. We have configured Matomo to be as privacy-friendly as possible:

  • IP Anonymization: Your IP address is anonymized by masking the last two bytes before it is stored. This prevents the direct identification of individual users.

  • Cookieless Tracking: We have configured Matomo to work without the use of tracking cookies. This means we can gather statistical data without needing to store identifying information in your browser.

  • Data Storage: All collected analytics data is stored exclusively on our servers in Germany and is not transferred to other countries.

Marketing, Analytics, and External Media (Consent-Based)

The following services will only be activated and data transmitted to the respective providers if you have given us your explicit consent for this via our cookie banner (Borlabs Cookie) (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). a) Google Ads & Conversion Tracking
We may use Google Ads to promote our products. To measure the success of our advertising campaigns, we use Google Conversion Tracking. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the USA, which is secured by Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).

b) Meta Pixel (Facebook & Instagram Ads)
We may use the “Meta Pixel” from Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd., 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland, on our website. With the help of the pixel, we can measure the success of our ads and create target audiences for future advertising (remarketing). Data may be transferred to Meta Platforms, Inc. in the USA, which is secured by SCCs.

c) YouTube Videos
We embed videos from the YouTube platform. The provider is Google Ireland Limited. We use the “enhanced privacy mode,” which, according to Google, only transmits data to YouTube servers when you actively play a video. By playing the video, data is transferred to Google in the USA (secured by SCCs).

d) TikTok Videos and Links
Our site may contain embedded videos from the TikTok platform or links to our TikTok profile. The provider is TikTok Technology Limited, 10 Earlsfort Terrace, Dublin, D02 T380, Ireland. When embedding videos, they are only loaded after your consent. In this process, data (IP address, cookie data, etc.) may be transferred to TikTok servers, including in third countries such as the USA (secured by SCCs).

e) Affiliate Programs (Amazon, Loopmasters, Rakuten Advertising / Splice)

We participate in various affiliate programs to help finance our website. This involves placing specially formatted links in our content (e.g., on our website and on YouTube) to products and services we recommend. If you click on such an affiliate link and subsequently make a purchase, we receive a commission from the respective provider. This does not result in any additional costs for you.

The processing of data is based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you grant via our cookie banner. Upon your consent, our partners place a cookie on your computer to track the origin of the order. No affiliate tracking cookies will be set without your consent.

We participate in the following affiliate programs:

  • Amazon Associates Program: Juicy Chords is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As part of this program, we are required to provide the following notice: “As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases.”

  • Loopmasters: We are a partner of the Loopmasters Ltd. affiliate program. Here as well, a link and a subsequent cookie are used to track your referral for a potential commission.

  • Rakuten Advertising (incl. for Splice): We use the Rakuten Advertising affiliate network. This network allows us to create affiliate links for various providers, including Splice (splice.com). Rakuten Advertising uses cookies to track the successful referral of a purchase and to correctly attribute commissions.

f) Communication via ManyChat

We offer you the opportunity to contact us and receive content from us via Facebook Messenger. To automate this communication, we use the service “ManyChat” from ManyChat, Inc., USA.

When you interact with on of our Meta profiles(Instagram/Facebook) via Messenger and use our chatbot, personal data (e.g., your name, Facebook ID, profile information, and the entire chat history) is processed on ManyChat’s servers. In this context, we are the Data Controller, while ManyChat acts as our Data Processor based on our instructions.

The legal basis for processing your data when using ManyChat is your explicit consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you provide by actively starting the conversation with our chatbot. We will inform you about this data processing at the beginning of the first interaction.
